Jack Ma to step down as the executive chairman of Alibaba in 2019

Alibaba is one of the most popular destinations for online shopping, in the world. transactions on its online sites totaled $248 billion last year, more than eBay and Amazon.
Chris Tung, chief marketing officer at Alibaba said that:
Alibaba is a company that «thinks big and thinks long term» and it will continue to show the same vision and passion. even when Jack Ma steps down eventually.

“Alibaba company will last with or without mister. Jack Ma as a result of the latter is a good teacher in making a strong company culture and one that inspires people within the organization to pursue their passions in line with the wider vision. I believe we’re good students too.” Tung said.

Alibaba Group said, “Jack Ma will step down as chairman on September 10, 2019.”
Daniel Zhang Current Alibaba chief executive will replace him as chairman, while Jack Ma will complete his current term on Alibaba's board of directors following the company's annual general meeting in 2020.
